MARSHALL L.A.W.
Land · Air · Water â Command three domains simultaneously.
MARSHALL L.A.W. is a strategic multi-player board game played across three simultaneous dimensional layers: Land, Air, and Water. Players command forces across a 26x26 grid, deploying hidden units, capturing objective flags, and engaging in cross-domain combat. A built-in Solo AI opponent called MARSHALL makes the game fully playable without additional players.
A Thinking Person War Game
MARSHALL L.A.W. combines the depth of classic strategy titles like Stratego, Chess, and Axis and Allies with a novel vertical dimension mechanic. Three layers are active simultaneously. A move on one layer can trigger consequences on another. A bomber flying overhead can strike ground units below. A submarine lurking in deep water can ambush ships that cannot even see it.
The Board
The game board consists of three stacked layers, each a 26x26 grid. Columns A through Z. Rows 1 through 26. Each cell identified by layer, column, and row. Total: 2,028 positions. Certain grid positions allow units to transition between layers, marked with gold pegs. Only eligible unit types may use them.
The Flag Mechanic
Win condition: capture the enemy flag. Flags are placed in the home base and cannot move. Flags may be surrounded by mines. The only way to reveal whether an immovable piece is a flag or a mine is to attack it. If it is a mine, the attacker is destroyed unless it is a miner. If it is the flag, game over.
The MARSHALL AI
For solo play, the MARSHALL AI opponent offers four difficulty tiers: Recruit (random moves), Sergeant (advances toward your base), Colonel (uses scouts and tracks revealed units), and MARSHALL (full adaptive play with cross-domain attacks and flag siege tactics).
